The clothes you reach for without thinking. Your favourite t-shirt, your favourite sweater, your favourite pair of trousers, they're the ones you barely notice when you wear them. That absence of friction is exactly why you keep coming back to them.

That effortlessness is what I try to capture in everything I make. Not by lowering the standard, but by holding it high enough that it disappears into the garment.

For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to Asian culture and especially Japanese clothing. Not to copy it, but to understand the way form is approached there. That shows up in how I work: finetuning details that most people will never consciously notice, but that decide whether something actually feels right.

Material comes first. I work with deadstock fabric, which means not every fabric suits every design. I don't start with an idea and go looking for the right cloth. It's a different way of working, more honest one. You're not forcing anything.

The goal has never been to make clothes that hang beautifully in a wardrobe. I want my clothes to end up where you grab them without thinking, by the door, next to your favourite pair of shoes. Effortless. That moment when you put on a coat without a second thought  that's exactly where I hope my clothes belong.

In the end, the truest measure of a garment isn't how it looks on a hanger. It's how often you actually reach for it.
